We’ll provide you with a staging URL at which you can test the flow. We aim to keep this process as close to production as possible, to reduce the surface area for errors between staging and production.

However, in order to ensure that testers can complete the flow regardless of whether they own a smart meter or not, we use the Stripe test environment in staging. This means that you can proceed through the address confirmation page by using one of Stripe’s test cards. These can also be used to trigger deliberate failures of address verification.

Staging environments use production integrations to external partners for non-credit card address verification methods. As such, you will need to provide a valid MPAN to proceed past the MPAN validation stage. If you need help with this, please let us know.
